Depends on the codes for your area. Where I live we cannot have cars on the street overnight. We cannot have a for sale sign on them at all even in the driveway.How long can a vehicle for sale sit on the street?
The way that the law works for this situation is that the vehicle must be licensed and registered and depending on where you live, some states require that the vehicle be moved at least once a week.
Just call your local police department and report it if it does not have current plates and registration.
It depends on local ordinances but I suspect the answer is forever if it has legal tags on it.
