I was thinking of selling my 15in macbook pro in order to buy a 17in. I was wondering what should I do to safely sell my macbook. Should I erase the hard drive or what. Also, how will I able to transfer everything i have on my 15in to a 17in? Buy the 17'; MacBook Pro. When you start it up it will ask you if you want to transfer data from another Mac. Just agree and hook the two together with a firewire cable. The Macs will co-operate and transfer whatever files you want between them. It will take from 1 to 3 hours usually. Then use the MacOS X DVDs that came with your 15'; MacBook Pro and erase the hard drive and reinstall a clean version of MacOS X. Then install the applications. All in all it will take you a couple hours.
