I have been trying to sell 2 weeks timeshare but all the companies that I have contacted have demanded up-front fees ';for advertising %26amp; administration'; with no guarantees. I can't afford to pay any money up-front but am obviously prepared to pay a commission, just lik you would t an estaye agent when selling a house.TIMESHARE FOR SALE. How can I sell 2 weeks Timeshare in Scotland without paying up-front fees?
Before you let these Agents handle your sale, check the web for a list of Companies that Cheat %26amp; Defraud (I think that's what the site is called) and beware of any based in Spain.
Some Hotels where there are Time-shares will buy them back from you without commission (but they pay peanuts) or you could try selling privately maybe on e-Bay or your local paper.TIMESHARE FOR SALE. How can I sell 2 weeks Timeshare in Scotland without paying up-front fees?
that's why timeshares are the biggest rip off in the world
Hi Olga,
You are quite correct not to pay any money up front as most of the resale comanies do little, but leave your timeshare on their books and are not at all pro active in trying to sell it for you. You could try and contact the resort directly and see if they have a resale department (although they will obviously try and sell their own weeks first). Your best bet would be to advertise it in your local paper, failing that try to sell it on ebay. Don't ask too much though as it is a difficult thing to sell. I gave my weeks back to my resort after I failed to sell them as I was so desperate to get rid of them with the maintainance fees nearly doubling last year, and believe it or not the resort at first refused to take them back from me for free, unless I paid an administration fee of about 350.00.
They did eventually though. Good luck
To resale or rent a timeshare is a hard task, the basic rule is not to pay money up-front, don鈥檛 be another victim of a scam. There are some free classified adds where you can post it and get some results:
